Most of them didn’t last out the day. I got a body wash scent that I really didn’t like (for me). Smelled like Old Spice for men. I was able to trade that with a guy for a bottle of red wine. One gift came out of my trunk and right into the trash. One year I got a thermometer that you could use rectally. There were key chains with charms that had no connection to me. The best gifts were wine, candy or candles. I could regift or donate to a friend any that didn’t suit my tastes.
People that really didn’t want to give gifts. Most of the places I worked, gift giving wasn’t the norm but the last place, it was all about gifts. One year I contributed $25 for a large gift for the president. I got a $7 bottle of wine.
